Endurance is more than sport
UTMB had to make the newsletter somewhere.
Welcome!
This is the OutChasing 5 newsletter.
Each week before your long run Saturday, I send out a quick five which consists of Fuel for Thought, a Quick Win, Inspiration Station, a Pro Tip, and a personal Sign Off from me or the team.
We’re here to silently or loudly cheer you on in your endeavor.
We’re here for you so reach out if you need anything!
Fuel for Thought
This is a core theme to OutChasing: Go for it!
You only have so many minutes, hours, days on this planet. Go find adventure and pursue an interesting life!
Quick Win
Self belief is your greatest asset. It is a pillar of self efficacy that leads you to your
Inspiration Station
It is not what you are capable of. It is what you are willing to do.
Capable does not require action.
Pro Tip
Not running specific but this is the best nutrition visual I have ever seen for triathlons. Hard part is you need to test this out in practice to get it right on race day. Nutrition is the fourth leg to all triathlons.
Sign Off
I wish I could say this week was a steady effort of building the base for OutChasing and the soon to start Podcast The 9 to 5 Athlete but in reality it has come in bursts.
The outcome so far has been a rough draft of the topics I want to explore with guests and ordering some higher quality gear to make the audio sound (hopefully) very professional. I am both very nervous and very excited to dive in with some old and new friends.
I am excited to share what endurance means to me and how I think it should influence peoples’ lives. I hope to do that through this idea.
OutChasing is for broad strokes purposes a brand but so many people have had their lives changed because of a brand. Why can’t I do that too?
